The police have identified the man whose head and torso were found in separate places in St Catherine this morning.

He is 27-year-old Kemar Thomas of Byles District in Kitson Town.

His head was found in an open area along the Spanish Town bypass while his torso was later found in his community.

The police believe thugs were searching for his cousin but killed Thomas instead when his relative could not be found.

This is the second case of beheading in St Catherine since the start of the year.

On June 4, 27-year-old Sheldon Najair was beheaded at his home in Lakes Pen.
