Members of the police Trans-National Crime and Narcotics Division today destroyed 1,500 pounds of compressed ganja in the sleepy Manchester community of Ebenezer, near Sprur Tree.

It is reported that the police went to the property around 9:30 a.m. and searched a two-storey building where the compressed ganja was found in plastic drums and knitted bags disguised as yams.

The police say in addition to the compressed ganja, quarter acre of fully-grown ganja was discovered and destroyed.

No one was arrested in connection with the discovery.
