Bolt, Fraser-Pryce to compete in Paris today

The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt continues his preparation for this summer’s World Championships by competing in the Diamond League meeting in Paris, France today.

The 26-year-old Jamaican will contest the men’s 200 metres, set to start at 3:10 p.m. Jamaica time.

The event also includes three other Jamaicans — London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist Warren Weir, Nickel Ashmeade and Jason Young.

Jamaica’s two-time Olympic 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will also compete in Paris. Fraser-Pryce will run the women’s 100 metres.

Five other Jamaicans will compete at the meet.

Kaliese Spencer and Ristananna Tracey are down to contest the women’s 400-metre hurdles, while Andrew Riley will race in the men’s 110-metre hurdles.

Kimberly Williams and Trecia Kaye Smith are down to take part in the women’s triple jump.
