The Commissioner of Police is urging members of police personnel to seek help and counseling when going through domestic issues and disputes.

This plea follows the suspected suicide of a Special Constable Richard who was found dead at his home in St Catherine yesterday morning.

The Commissioner is also imploring supervisors to be vigilant and to address or refer any member who may be suspected of or show signs of distress or depression.

The Commissioner has expressed condolence and support to the immediate family members and friends of Laing on behalf of the Police Force.

Ellington is also encouraging members of the police force to take their personal affairs seriously and not to delay in seeking help even as they continue to serve Jamaica.
