Rescheduled sentencing hearing in Jody-Ann Gray's case today

Published:Monday | July 8, 2013 | 8:51 AM

Another attempt will be made today to sentence broadcaster Wayne Whyte and his co-accused in relation to the April 2012 gun attack on fellow broadcaster Jody-Ann Gray.

Last Friday, Justice Courtney Daye put off sentencing in the Gun Court Division of the High Court because all the character witnesses were not available.

On June 26, Whyte and Safari Farr pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Gray was attacked as she arrived home in Cedar Grove in Portmore, St Catherine on April 4 last year.

At that time she was pregnant.

Gray has commended the prosecution and the police for their investigation of the matter.
