IAAF WORLD YOUTH CHAMPS: Reid set to replace Cameron in WYC 100m

DONETSK, Ukraine:

Edwin Allen sprinter Saqukine Cameron will reportedly be replaced by St Jago's Shanice Reid in the 100m at the IAAF World Youth Championships here.




Cameron, according to information coming from the Jamaican management team, which is awaiting the official go-ahead from the championship's technical committee, is said to be unable to compete in all three events that she had originally been entered for – the 100m, 200m as well as the medley relay.



She is however, still expected to feature in the 200m and medley relay.



Jamaica's other representative in the girls 100m is Wolmer's Girls' Jonielle Smith, who is also entered to compete in the 200m as well.



The girls 100m heats is scheduled for Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. (10:15 a.m. Jamaica time)
