The reigning LASCO top cop for 2012-2013, who is facing a rape charge, had his bail extended when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court today.

Sergeant Oneil Patterson is out on $300,000 bail.

The case is set for mention on July 22.

The Crown is alleging that on May 23, the policeman sexually assaulted a 29-year-old medical doctor in his motor car on the compound of the Elletson Road Police Station in Kingston.

It is further alleged that the accused and the complainant were on a date when the incident took place.

Patterson is being represented by attorneys at law Peter Champagnie and Tamika Harris.
