Lobby group CAPI reacts to Bunting's statements on documentary

Lobby group, Citizens Action For Principle and Integrity (CAPI) wants the Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller to publicly state whether the Cabinet approved Bunting’s participation in the video and what’s the rationale of such a decision.

CAPI says as a senior government minister, Bunting, exercised poor judgment in participating in a video, in which he openly articulated a politically biased view.

The lobby group says Bunting’s contribution to the production of the documentary casts aspersion on the motives and integrity of former Prime Minister Golding and members of his cabinet, whose decision were taken on behalf of the government of Jamaica.

It points out that as a member of the cabinet, Minister Bunting’s objective at all times must be to defend and safeguard the good name of Jamaica, regardless of his political bias.

Efforts to get a comment from Minister Bunting were unsuccessful as our news centre was told that he is in Cuba on government business.
