VOLLEYBALL: J'can beach volleyballers take the court again

Jamaica’s beach volleyball teams will continue their campaign at the Under-19 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Portugal today.



Both boys’ and girls’ teams have failed to record a victory from two games each.



The Jamaicans will play their final round robin game today.



The boys’ pair of Rojey Hutchinson and Shavar Bryan will play a Russian pair, while the The girls’ team  of Tionna Graham and Lisanne Roofe is down to face a pair from Germany.



Hutchinson and Bryan lost 21-16, 21-14 to the top Australian pair of Malachi Murch and Zachary Schubert on yesterday’s second day.



The two 14-year old Jamaican girls were outclassed 21-5, 21-2 to Austria’s T.

Strauss and N. Strauss in their second game on day two.



The championship represents Jamaica’s first appearance at this level.
