Published:Friday | July 12, 2013 | 5:22 PM

The Clarendon police are now searching for robbers who broke into the Cool Oasis Service Station in Lionel Town, in the parish early this morning.

The thieves reportedly made off with an undetermined sum of cash and other items.

The incident happened about 3:45 a.m.

The owner of the gas station Haniff Brown told our news centre that he received an alert from Hawkeye Security that something was wrong at the gas station.

Brown says he then called the police, who went to the gas station and discovered that the establishment had been broken into.

The businessman says the robbers gained entry by cutting through a glass door and the security grille at the front of the building.
