Team manager Ewan Scott has confirmed that an appeal of Jamaica's girls medley relay disqualification was dismissed by the Jury of Appeal at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine.

The Jamaican team of Yanique Thompson, Shanice Reid, Tiffany James and Yanique McNeil, were the first to cross the line in their heat, with a time of 2:07.85, but they will not have a spot in tomorrow's final after video evidence confirmed that a baton exchange had taken place outside of the zone.

"An appeal was lodged, however, it was thrown out by the jury of appeal," said Scott.
