Police under threat in North St Andrew division
The curfew across sections of the St Andrew North Police Division comes days after the Police High Command raised the threat level to extreme for police personnel who live and work in the division.
The threat level was raised after the police revealed that it had intelligence indicating that criminals were planning attacks against police personnel in the area in reprisal for the killing of two men along Karl Samuda Avenue this week.
The Constabulary Communications Network says the curfew, which began at 6 o’clock yesterday evening, will remain in effect until 6 o’clock tomorrow evening.
The boundaries of the curfew are NORTH Along the Beverly Dale football field to White Hall Avenue; EAST Along Hughenden Avenue to Red Hills Boulevard and Molynes Road; SOUTH Along Molynes Road to the bridge; and WEST Along the gully bank to Beverly Dale football field.
