Woman killed in Mandela car crash

Twenty-seven-year-old Daveia Angus of Rose Avenue, Kitson Town in St. Catherine this morning died in a motor vehicle crash on the Mandela Highway in the parish.



The Ferry Police say about 6:15 a.m., Angus was driving a motor car towards Kingston when it is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Rav 4 drove in her path.



She reportedly lost control of her car which then crashed into trees.



Angus was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where she died.



The driver of the Toyota Rav 4 did not stop.



The police say anyone with information is being asked to contact the Ferry Police at 705-8349, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
