Nomination Day activities are now completed for the upcoming August 8 by-election in the Cassia Park Division of the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation, KSAC.

The Jamaica Labour Party's Beverley Prince and the People's National Party's Sheryn Bromfield have been nominated.

Prince held the Cassia Park division for three consecutive terms before switching to the Hagley Park division for last year’s local government elections where she lost to the PNP's Nenna Wilson by 342 votes.

JLP General Secretary, Dr Horace Chang says the party is banking on Prince’s track record to deliver a victory for the party.

Bromfield is the daughter of Cynthia Burrell, the late councillor for the Cassia Park division.

PNP deputy general secretary, Julian Robinson says Broomfield's campaign will take a door-to-door approach.

Last year, Burrell won the Cassia Park Division for the PNP by 32 votes.
