Three men charged for murder of detective corporal

Three men held in connection with the killing of Detective Corporal Alphanso Gossop have now been charged with murder.

The police say the men will next week appear in the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charges.

They are: Raymond Gowie, 33, of Spanish Town Road, Kingston 11; Horace Kildare, 19, of Stony Hill, St Andrew and Steven Ricardo Archer-Henry, an accountant of Monza in Greater Portmore, St Catherine.

All three have been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The men, who were arrested on Monday, July 1, were charged following a question and answer session with their attorneys.

A fourth person, who was also arrested at that time, was previously released.

Detective Corporal Gossop, who was attached to the Protective Services Division, was murdered on Sunrise Crescent while heading home about 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1.
