Men held after transporting stolen cows

On Wednesday, four men were taken into custody by the Malvern Police in St Elizabeth, after they were caught transporting cows stolen from a farmer in the parish.



The men have been identified as 18-year-old labourer, Travis Antonia Nembhard; Gavin Wright, 28; Jephtah Emmanuel Wright, 46; and 24-year-old Donwayne Wright, all of St Elizabeth addresses.



Reports are that about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday a group of police officers intercepted a truck in which the four were travelling. The officers also found five cows in the back of the truck. Further investigations revealed the cows were stolen from a farmer in the area.



The men will be taken before the Court next week.
