FOOTBALL: Young Reggae Girls take early lead in CFU

Hosts Jamaica have taken the early lead in Group Four of the Caribbean Football Union Women’s Under-20 Qualifying Tournament after the opening matches at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex yesterday.



The young Reggae Girls whipped Bermuda 7-0 in the second game of a double-header.



As a result of the victory Jamaica moved ahead of the four-team table on goal difference.



Cuba who defeated Curacao 6-0 in the first match are in second place.



The second set of matches will take place tomorrow with the final games scheduled for Saturday.



The tournament qualifies two teams to the final round, which look set to be held Puerto Rico in October.
