ATHLETICS: Hudson, Bascoe in medal round at Paralympic Championships

The Jamaican pair of Shane Hudson and David Bascoe have qualified for the medal round of the men’s T46 400-metre finals at the International Paralympic Committee Athletics World Championships in Lyons, France.



Hudson clocked a season-best of 49.74 to win his semi-final heat today and qualified for tomorrow’s final.



Bascoe booked his spot after a lifetime best 52.09 seconds for third place in his semi-final.



Jamaica has so far secured one medal.



Fifty-year-old Sylvia Grant won a silver medal in the women’s F57-58 Javelin Final yesterday.
