ATHLETICS: Bolt says he is a 'clean' athlete

Usain Bolt insists he is "clean" in the wake of failed drugs tests by six fellow Jamaican athletes recently.

Asafa Powell and his MVP teammate Sherone Simpson were among five Jamaican athletes who tested positive over a week ago.

A few weeks before, World 200-metre champion Veronica Campbell-Brown tested positive for a banned diuretic.

Bolt, who races at the London Anniversary Games, this weekend, says athletes have to be very careful because right now there are a lot of things on the banned list.

Bolt added that although it is hard, athletes have to keep up to date with what is on the banned list.

The fastest man in the world says he got tested all the while and as recently as this week.

The 26-year-old 100- and 200-metre world record-holder pointed to his success as a junior athlete as evidence of his innocence.

Bolt says his phenomenal performances are nothing new as he has been doing so since15-years-old.
