Thirty six-year-old Marlon Gravesandy of Pitfour, St James, has been freed by the St James Circuit Court of carnal abuse.

Gravesandy was also freed of two counts of indecent assault on a young boy.

It was alleged that Gravesandy committed the offences in January 2010.

The incident was not reported until August 2010.

Gravesandy denied committing the offences.

Queen's Counsel Howard Hamilton, who represented Gravesandy, told the jury to free his client because the complainant’s witnesses were not telling the truth.

The jury retired for 20 minutes and returned a not guilty verdict.
