Commissioner-General of Tax Administration Jamaica, Viralee Latibeaudiere, has been granted a 14-day injunction barring the government from terminating her employment contract.

Attorney, Hugh Wildman, this afternoon made the application on her behalf in the Supreme Court.

He says Latibeaudiere received a letter from the solicitor general on July 18 advising that her contract would be terminated on July 31.

The injunction has been taken out against the solicitor general, the minister of finance and the financial secretary.

It was granted by Justice Lennox Campbell.
