ATHLETICS: UK's Jessica Ennis-Hill to miss World Championships
Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill has withdrawn from the Great Britain team for the World Championships in Moscow with an Achilles injury.
The 26-year-old heptathlete has had the problem all season, although she did compete in the hurdles and long jump at the London Anniversary Games last weekend.
Ennis-Hill took part in the Anniversary Games to test her fitness and had admitted on Saturday she was not sure she would be fit in time for the championships, which run from August10-18.
It was only her second competitive appearance since winning gold at London 2012 and she finished fourth in the 100-metres hurdles and eighth out of eight in the long jump.
