World 100m record holder Usain Bolt leads four Jamaicans into the semi finals of the event at the 2013 World Championships.

Bolt, running in the final of seven heats a short while ago clocked 10.07.

The race evoked nervous moments though as Cayman’s Kemar Hyman running from beside Bolt in lane four became the first athlete to false start at the 2013 Games.

Earlier, Kemar Bailey-Cole running in heat one, was the first Jamaican through, after clocking 10.02 to win his event.

"I'm very happy with that race because I think I executed well. Now I look forward to the semis," Bailey Cole said.

Nesta Carter (10.11) running in heat two also placed first to advance.

After the race, as Carter passed through the mixed zone, he raised the peace sign and shouted: "Big up dung a yaad!”

In heat six Nikel Ashmeade (10-12) ran a smooth race to place second behind American Mike Rogers (9.98)

The semi finals is slated for Sunday at 10:05 am.
