Fraser-Pryce targeting new personal best in Moscow
Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce bows into action at the World Championships on Sunday at 2:55 a.m. and she says she is targeting a new personal best.
"This is the year to do a lot of things," said Fraser-Pryce whose personal best is now 10.70.
"If I run a personal best here I will go 10.60 so I'm just focusing on what I need to do to get there."
However, Fraser-Pryce acknowledges that this success will largely depend on how she executes the race.
"I am focusing on the execution, because I know that if I run the race the way I am supposed to, then I will do great things," she said.
"I am looking to have some fun, this year I am a lot fitter and mentally … I am just having fun with what I do, it's not only about winning, it's about doing what I know I can do, and was born to do, and enjoying it."
