MOSCOW, Russia:

Sprint King Usain Bolt says folks will have to "wait and see" if he will challenge his 9.58 seconds 100m world record in tonight final at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics here inside the Luzhniki Stadium.

Bolt, who helped create history, as for the first time ever, Jamaica will have four competitors in the 100m final at the World Championships, said that he was satisfied with his semi-final run, stating that he is looking to execute in the final.

"I am happy with my reaction and my first 10m was ok," Bolt said. "I backed off a little bit but I am happy with how I feel. My plan for the final is to execute a good race, as for the world record, we will see."

All four Jamaicans made light work of qualifying to today's men's 100m final, which is set for 12:50pm (Jamaica time).

Bolt was easy in posting 9.92 to win his semi-final ahead of American Mike Rodgers, 9.93 but the fastest Jamaican into the final is Nickel Ashmeade, whose personal best 9.90 took him to the line ahead of yet another Jamaican Kemar Bailey-Cole, who also posted a personal best 9.93 for second.

Nesta Carter, 9.97 followed Justin Gatlin, 9.94 to the line while James Dasaolu, 9.97 and Christophe Lemaitre, 10.00 also booking lanes in the final.
