Southampton, Newell residents to face water disruption

The National Water Commission says its customers who are served by the Southampton and Newell facilities in St Elizabeth will experience a disruption in their water supply due to electrical and mechanical problems.



Affected areas include: Northampton, Leeds, Jerusalem, Olive Park, Glenco, Bybrook, Longwood, Lovely Point, Boxwood, Beadles Boulevard, Bona Vista, Top Burnt Ground and Seven Corners, served by the Southampton system and Ridge Pen, Newcombe Valley, Beacon, Treasure Beach, Billy’s Bay, Bluntas, Lewis Town and Moxam Town, served by the Newell system.



The NWC says every effort is being made to restore normal operations at both facilities by next Sunday, August 18.
