Jamaican triple jumper advances to World Champs final

Jamaica's Kimberly Williams has advanced to the final of the women's triple jump at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia.



Williams who competed in Group A leapt to a mark of 14.36, which was the third best jump in her group.



However, it was the fourth best jump overall.



Williams will now move to prepare for the triple jump final slated for Thursday at 10.40 a.m.



In 2005 Jamaican Trecia-Kay Smith took home a gold medal in the women's triple jump at the Helsinki World Champs.
