The National Works Agency rehabilitation work on the Hampstead to Ballards Valley roadway in central St Mary is far advanced.

Communications Manager Stephen Shaw says the roadwork is about 98 per cent complete.

He says the project includes formation work and the construction of drains along the 12 kilometre roadway.

The project is being done at a cost of $166 million.

Shaw says the agency has completed rehabilitation work on the Dunbarton Gully in St Andrew.

That project was completed at a cost of $157 million.
