West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has regained the number two position in the latest International Cricket Council Test Batting Rankings.

Chanderpaul moved up following Australian captain Michael Clarke's poor showing in the fourth Test against England at Chester-le-Street.

England's Ian Bell continued to make gains, hopping three places to seventh, while Aussie Chris Rogers climbed 41 places to 42nd.

South African Hashim Amla continued to lead the rankings while his teammate AB de Villiers and Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara are third and fourth.

Among the bowlers, there were no changes in the top five with Dale Steyn of South Africa, Vernon Philandeer, also of South Africa, Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka, Saeed Ajmal of Pakistan and Australian Peter Siddle each maintaining their places.
