OPERATION MOSCOW: Williams sisters, Bliss through to hurdles semis

Sisters Danielle and Shermaine Williams are through to the 100m hurdles semi-finals after third place finishes in the heats today at the IAAF World Championships of Athletics inside the Luzhniki Stadium.
Danielle Williams, who got a great start but was caught midway the race, posted 13.11 to finish behind Queen Harrison, 12.95, from the USA and Alina Talay, 12.99 from Belarus.
"I cant say that I am pleased with that race but I am pleased to be in the semi-finals," the sprint hurdler told The Gleaner after her race.
Shermaine Williams stopped the clock at 13.09 in her heat, which was won by Brianna Rollins in 12.55, with Lavonne Idlette (Dominica), 13.06 second.
After a sixth place finish in her heat Andrea Bliss clocked 13.20 to qualify as one of the next four fastest, booking a spot in the semis.
The semi-finals are set for Saturday morning at 9:20am (Jamaica time).
