17-year-old boys among four in custody following Portland gun seizure

Four men are now in custody following the seizure of a Smith and Wesson revolver by the Portland police along West Street in Port Antonio, on Thursday night.



The men are 22-year-old Stafford ‘Muyo’ Mercurious; 23-year old Nicholas ‘Nick’ Lipman; 17-year-old Jermaine Dixon and 17-year-old Travis Patterson.



The men have been charged with reasonable suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.



The police say they were on patrol when four men were spotted near a motor car.

Upon approaching the men, one of the four allegedly dropped an object beside the car, which was spotted by the lawmen.



According to the police, they approached the men and during a search the hand gun, with four cartridges, was found on the floor beside the car.



They were arrested and taken to the Port Antonio station lock-up.
