America wins 100m hurdles gold

The United States' Brianna Rollins, 23, made a powerful run in the women's 100m Hurdles in 12.44 to claim gold ahead of the defending Champion Australia's Sally Pearson.



Pearson finished in a season's best 12.50.



Great Britain's Tiffany Porter placed third in 12.55.



Earlier, all three Jamaicans failed to advance to the final.



Jamaica's Andrea Bliss who competed in heat one, placed fifth, in 12.92.



In heat two, Shermaine Williams, placed fourth in a season best 12.93.



In heat three, the Jamaican national 100 metre hurdles champion, Danielle Williams placed 6th in 13.13.
