Education Minister, Andrew Holness said the ministry has begun exploring the use of alternative energy sources in schools as a cost saving measure.

Mr. Holness said he met with an investor this week, who is interested in introducing solar technology in Jamaican schools.

He also said the ministry is currently looking at increasing the revenue for schools to aid them in meeting their operational costs.
