Published:Thursday | August 22, 2013 | 7:50 AM

Ramnaresh Sarwan’s Guyana Amazon Warriors and Dwayne Bravo’s Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel will face off in the first semi-final of the inaugural Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 tournament in Trinidad today.

The match will be played at Queen’s Park Oval, starting at 8 p.m.

For today’s match, Guyana Amazon Warriors have ex-Sri Lanka captain, Tallakaratne Dilshan in their lineup.

Dilshan is the latest Sri Lanka player to link up with Caribbean Premier League, after agreeing to take over from the injured Martin Guptill.

The dynamic right-hander Dilshan has played for the Delhi Daredevils and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.

The Trinidad & Tobago Red Force enter the game following a close defeat to Jamaica Tallawahs in their final preliminary round match in Jamaica.

They came from behind to qualify for the semi-finals after losing their first three games.

Chris Gayle’s Jamaica Tallawahs and Kieron Pollard Barbados Tridents will contest the second semi-final tomorrow, also at Queen’s Park Oval.
