CRICKET: Jamaica's Women cricketers returning from Grenada as regional double champions

Jamaica's women cricketers are returning from Grenada as Regional double champions.



Jamaica secured the double title yesterday by defeating Barbados by six wickets to win the 2013 Regional Women’s Twenty20 Tournament at the Grenada National Stadium.



Jamaica, needing 106 to win, reached the victory target off 16. 5 overs for the loss of four wickets.



Natasha McLean top scored for Jamaica with 44, while her opening partner Stafanie Taylor supported with 32.



Earlier, Barbados were restricted to 105 for seven off their allotted 20 overs with Kycia Knight making 25.



Vanessa Watts was the most successful bowler for Jamaica with two for 17 from her four overs, while Karla Cohen, Shanel Daley, Chedean Nation and Taylor picked up a wicket each.



Jamaica defeated Trinidad and Tobago over a week ago to win the Regional Super 50 title.
