CRICKET: Jamaica Tallawahs to meet Guyana Amazon Warriors in championship match

Chris Gayle’s Jamaica Tallawahs have earned the right to meet Guyana Amazon Warriors in tonight’s final of the inaugural Caribbean Premier league Twent20 tournament in Trinidad.



The Tallawahs qualified for their championship match by scoring an exciting seven wicket victory over Kieron Pollard’s Barbados Tridents in the second semi-final last night.



The match was played at the Queen’s Park Oval.



Setting a victory target of 149, Andre Russell hit three consecutive sixes to lead the Tallawahs to 152 for three.



The Tallawahs won with nine deliveries to spare.



The Guyana Amazon Warriors were the first team to qualify for the final.



They defeated Trinidad and Tobago Red Steels by seven wickets on Thursday night at Queen’s Park Oval.



Tonight’s final will also take place at Queen’s Park Oval.
