Clarendon police arrest Indian national suspected of pawning stolen electronics

A Clarendon businessman is now in lock-up following a raid by the May Pen Police, in May Pen, yesterday afternoon during which they confiscated a number of phones, computers, cameras, games and other electronics suspected to have been stolen.



The businessman, who is a national of India is believed to be a major player in relation to the sale of stolen property in the May Pen area.



Police investigators at the May Pen’s Criminal Investigative Branch say they have received several complaints from persons who complain of being fleeced by the suspect.



They say they have received a statement from a suspect currently in custody that the businessman purchased a laptop computer from him.



The investigators believe the businessman has been pawning and reselling stolen items at his business place.
