The Ministry of Education is reminding school administrators to provide outstanding information required to facilitate the payment of the $25,000 due to public sector employees for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

The Ministry says although schools were notified earlier, they have not yet submitted their costing as required by the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

It says the internal audit department of the Ministry has to first verify the number of staff on its payroll before sending the information to the finance ministry.

The education ministry says it is in the process of sending an updated list.

It adds that as soon as schools submit their information this will be forwarded to the finance ministry for payment.

The one-off payment of $25,000 was built into the three-year wage freeze agreement signed by public sectors earlier this year.

The payments have been scheduled to be made in August of each year of the agreement until 2015.
