Former resident magistrate and Attorney-at-law Dionne Maylor-Reid is now out on bail.

She was granted bail following a habeas corpus application by her lawyer Lambert Johnson in the Western Regional Gun Court this afternoon.

Maylor-Reid had been in custody since Monday following a raid on her Westmoreland office and her home by members of the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force.

She was arrested on suspicion of breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transaction (Special Provision) Act and the Firearm Act.

Reports are that the lawyer's office was searched and an illegal gun, ammunition, several documents and computers, believed to be used in lottery scamming were found.
