A five-year-old boy remains hospitalised this afternoon following an attack by gunmen who invaded his parent’s home in York Town, Clarendon on Friday and sprayed the house with bullets before setting the house ablaze.

Doctors have said that the boy has been permanently paralysed.

The police say three other persons, including the child’s mother, are also hospitalised in stable condition.

It is reported that shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, a group of gunmen entered the house and robbed the occupants of a cell phone and other items. According to the police, one of the occupants attempted to escape and was shot several times.

The gunmen then reportedly opened fire on the other persons, including the five-year-old boy.
