CRICKET: Ravi Rampual fit for Champions League

Published:Wednesday | September 11, 2013 | 9:23 AM

Pacer Ravi Rampaul has been declared fit again as Trinidad and Tobago prepare to leave the Caribbean for the champions League in India.

Manager Omar Khan says Rampaul has recovered from a slight groin injury which kept him out of the last three warm-up games against Guyana and the Windward Islands.

Trinidad and Tobago defeated the Windwards in back-to-back matches in Dominica last weekend and will have another two warm-up matches this week at the National Cricket Centre in Couva before leaving for India.

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force has only one practice match in India before the start of the tournament on September 21.

They open their campaign against the Brisbane Heat in Ranchi on September 22.
