Rain has interrupted the third one-day international between England and Australia after 15.1 overs at Edgbaston.

In the play that was possible, England slipped to 59 for 3, with Michael Carberry, Kevin Pietersen and Joe Root all out.

Jonathan Trott 28 and Eoin Morgan five were the batsmen at the crease when play was suspended.

Australia lead the five-match series 1-0 after victory at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The first match in the series at Headingley was washed out, with contests at Cardiff and Southampton remaining.
