FOOTBALL: KC begins 2013 Manning Cup campaign today

Kingston College (KC), will bow into action for the first time in the 2013 season of the ISSA/Lime Manning Cup Football competition, which resumes today with eight matches.



KC, drawn in Group ‘F’, was scheduled to start their campaign on Tuesday at home against Eltham High, but no referees turned up for that game.



The North Street-based school will now start against Penwood High in an away fixture at the Cling Cling Oval.



It will be the second game for Penwood High, who lost their opening game 3-nil against Spanish Town High on Tuesday.



Eltham High will also be in action today. They will host Greater Portmore High in what is the first game for both schools.



Defending champions St George’s College, drawn in Group D, will also take the field today. The light blues will play away to Oberlin High at the Golden Spring Field.



Other matches in the group are – Camperdown hosting Donald Quarrie at the Bellevue Field and Vauxhall entertaining Charlie Smith.



In the remaining matches today – Clan Carthy will host St Catherine High, Denham Town will play Kingston Technical and Wolmer’s Boys entertain Papine.



All matches are scheduled to begin at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
