350 pounds of marijuana were seized by the police at the Norman Manley International Airport yesterday.

The police say the ganja was seized during an operation by the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division shortly before 5 o’clock in the western section of the airport compound.

They say two metal skits were searched and several cardboard boxes wrapped in black and white plastic bags were found with 140 parcels of compressed ganja wrapped with brown masking tape.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
