Harold Thomas had a disappointing start as Head Coach of Harbour View as the defending champions lost 2-nil to Sporting Central Academy on yesterday’s opening day of the 2013-2014 Red Stripe Premier League season.

The game was played at the Juci Patties Park in Clarendon.

Gregory Lewis and Francois Swaby scored the goals for the home team who climbed atop the early points’ table with Waterhouse, who blanked Boys' Town 2-nil at the Drewsland Stadium.

Former champions Arnett Gardens and Portmore United also suffered defeats on the opening day.

Arnett Gardens lost 1-nil away to Geoffery Maxwell-coached Humble Lion at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon, while Portmore United suffered an away 1-nil defeat to Cavalier at the Stadium East field.

In other games August Town and Rivoli United battled to a 1-all draw in the battle between the promoted teams at the UWI Bowl, while Tivoli Gardens had a 1-nil home victory over Montego Bay United at the Edward Seaga Complex.
