CRICKET: West Indies 'A' square ODI series against India 'A'

West Indies ‘A’ defeated India ‘A’ by 55 runs in the second match of their three-match One-Day tournament today in Bangalore to level the series.



Jonathan Carter, one of three players brought in after their loss on Saturday, led the way for West Indies with an intelligent century.



The Barbadian all-rounder hit 133 from 132 balls as West Indies ‘A’, sent in to bat, scored 279 for six off their 50 overs.



Leon Johnson was the next best scorer for the Caribbean side with 39, while Kirk Edwards chipped in with 36.



Jamaican all-rounder Andre Russell was dismissed for 12 off only four deliveries.



Vinay Kumar was the most successful bowler for India ‘A’ with three for 56 from his allotted 10 overs.



Needing 270 to win, India ‘A’ were bowled out for 224 off 48 point 4 overs with Miguel Cummins taking four for 31 from 10 overs.



Jamaican spinner Nikita Miller supported with two for 46 from nine overs, while Jason Carter had two for 33 from 6 point 4 overs.

Russell and Ashley Nurse picked up a wicket apiece.



The third and deciding One Day fixture is set for Thursday, also in Bangalore.
