Three men remain in police custody following the seizure of a gun in Old Harbour St. Catherine yesterday.

The police say a 9 millimetre Smith and Wesson pistol with eight cartridges were seized during a vehicular checkpoint operation on Darlington Drive.

It’s reported that a team of officers signalled the driver of a Toyota motor car with the three men aboard to stop.

The driver reportedly disobeyed and the vehicle was later intercepted and searched and the men taken into custody.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
