Update: Classes resume at Fair Prospect High following yesterday's protest

Published:Tuesday | September 24, 2013 | 12:38 PM

Acting Education Officer for Region 2 Paul Ashley says classes have resumed at Fair Prospect High School in Portland.

He says the Ministry of Education has employed two teachers to fill the vacancies left by the women who were dismissed.

According to Ashley regional and central offices will be meeting with the school’s Board later this week to review the situation and to determine whether the board acted prematurely.

Mr. Ashley notes that the fight between the teachers sent a wrong signal to students as the women should have set a better example.
