The woman implicated in the shooting of a St. Mary teacher has turned herself in to the police.

She is twenty-one-year-old Toni-Lyn Blackburn of a St. Mary address.

The Port Maria Police say Blackburn turned herself in about 2:00 a.m. yesterday.

She was accompanied by a member of the media.

Detectives from the Port Maria Criminal Investigative Branch launched a manhunt for her earlier this month following the shooting of the teacher.

It’s reported that the teacher, Cleon Gordon, was at the bar with two female companions, when one of them brandished a firearm and opened fire.

Gordon was shot twice.

It is reported that the women then stole his Toyota RAV4 motor vehicle and used it to flee the scene.

The car was later found abandoned in another section of the parish.
