TAJ to add outstation collection points for more convenient property tax collection

Published:Wednesday | September 25, 2013 | 4:01 PM

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says it will be setting-up four outstations across the island on Saturday in its continued drive to collect outstanding property taxes.

The third quarterly instalment becomes due on October 1, 2013.

The TAJ says the move is aimed at providing a convenient option for persons to pay their property taxes, without having to visit a tax office or pay online.

The outstations will be set up at Longville Park Plaza, Clarendon; Alligator Pond Infant & Primary School, Manchester; Runaway Bay Post Office, St. Ann; and at the Harbour View Police Station in Kingston.

The operations of the outstation collection points will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..

TAJ says outstations will also be set up in other parishes in coming months.
